AxEnergy have developed a third CT-FOG system called ’UpStream Fogging’. This solution provides a nozzle rack installation up-stream of the entire filter house. With this arrangement, AxEnergy guarantees that no water will be injected inside the air intake. The UpStream Fogging solution from AxEnergy achieves a level of relative humidity of up to 93% and is therefore more efficient than a traditional evaporative cooling system.

As a result of studies carried out during the operation of the pilot scheme in Canada, it has been noted that UpStream Fogging has demonstrated a particular suitability to small gas turbines (3-50 MW/h). Installation and maintenance does not require entry into the filter house which eliminate the shut-down periods required for normal installations!
